Issued for the 2025 World Money Fair in Berlin, this special release features the iconic Australian Kookaburra in vivid colour. Celebrating the series’ 35th anniversary, the design captures one of Australia’s most recognised birds — famous for its unmistakable laughing call at dawn and dusk.
The reverse portrays a coloured kookaburra perched on a branch with the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA 35TH ANNIVERSARY’. It also includes a privy mark tribute to an original 1990-dated Kookaburra coin, plus a separate red AMPELMANN privy mark honouring Berlin’s cult traffic light icon. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, along with the coin’s weight, purity, and 2025 year-date complete the design.
Presented in a special World Money Fair presentation card featuring the show logo and dates, with a fold-out stand for upright display. Limited mintage of 2,500 coins worldwide.
