Werdanda, also known as Verdandi, is the Norn of the present — her name meaning “that which is happening”. She represents action, life’s momentum, and the importance of decisions made here and now.
In Germania Mint’s interpretation, Werdanda is portrayed as a serene figure seated on the roots of Yggdrasil, fully immersed in the moment. Her hair is braided like threads of fate, while her refined attire and enchanted jewellery reflect her role as guardian of the present — the living bridge between what has been and what is yet to come.
The reverse features the Germania Mint double-headed eagle framed by Yggdrasil’s roots and luminous golden threads of destiny. Several strands appear broken, symbolising that the present holds the power to reshape fate and break free from what came before.
