Bionic Genesis – Queen Bee 2026 explores a future where the disappearance of natural bees has led humanity to recreate one of nature's most important systems through technology. At the centre of the design is the Queen Bee — the single reproductive force that maintains order and continuity throughout the hive.
Struck from 5 oz of .999 fine silver to Proof quality, the coin uses layered relief, contrasting finishes and pure 24-carat gold plating to bring the hive to life. Worker bees move between silver, Black Proof and gold-plated honeycomb cells, while the Queen is distinguished by her larger form within the geometric structure.
The obverse continues the bionic theme around the Public Seal of Niue, depicting a programmed evolution in which a gold hexagon develops into a bee — combining the visual language of code with biological reproduction.
