Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Australian decimal currency, the Royal Australian Mint presents the 2026 6-Coin Proof Set. Marking the historic transition that began on 14 February 1966, this prestigious release honours one of the most significant milestones in Australia’s monetary history.
This official set comprises six Australian legal tender coins from 5c through to $2. Four denominations – 5c, 20c, $1 and $2 – feature their traditional designs, while the 10c and 50c showcase unique one-year-only commemorative reverses inspired by both predecimal and decimal coinage.
The 10c represents the first time a standard Proof Set has included a commemorative reverse for that denomination. Struck to the Royal Australian Mint’s flawless Proof standard, each coin is individually encapsulated and presented within an official case accompanied by an informative booklet.
