2023 $2 Coloured UNC – Vegemite Centenary celebrates 100 years of Vegemite, one of Australia’s most iconic and recognisable foods. Released into circulation through a corporate program partnership between the Royal Australian Mint and Woolworths Supermarkets, these coins quickly became highly sought-after collectibles.
The series consists of three distinct designs, each featuring a coloured ring and a unique Vegemite-themed motif. Issued one week apart, the coins commemorate a century of Australian culture, taste, and tradition.
The coins were released during the reign of King Charles III; however, as his effigy had not yet been approved for use, they feature the Queen Elizabeth II memorial obverse with the dates 1952–2022.
