2020 $2 Coloured UNC – WWII End of War C Mintmark commemorates the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. On 2 September 1945, Japanese officials formally surrendered to the Allied nations, bringing the deadliest conflict in human history to an end.
Almost one million Australians served across land, sea and air during the war, with nearly 40,000 Australians losing their lives. This release acknowledges those who served and the lasting impact the war had on Australia.
Featuring the distinctive ‘C’ Mintmark, this one-year-only Royal Australian Mint issue was struck to Uncirculated standard and presented as official Australian legal tender.
